TIME ROLLS ON
Intro: A black background dissolves into a
close-up of snow and then a look into the woods. This takes place for
about ten seconds or so, and then you see a snowboarder come down the
hill by himself. He is really good as he weaves back and forth across
the ski slope. The camera follows him for a while and then he stops
after he goes around the bend of the hill. The camera looks up from the
ground slowly as it photographs every inch of him. It stops at his head
as he is looking around like he sees or hears something. He takes off
his board and walks towards the woods. There lying in front of him is
his ex-girlfriend and Jim. They are kissing each other while lying in
the snow.
Bryan: “Caitlin”
Caitlin and Jim
look up and they both say, “can we help you,” and they start laughing.
Bryan: Screams out
nooooooooooooooooooooo!
Cut to Bryan’s
bedroom where he quickly sits up from his bed as the alarm goes off,
very startled, and then sighs. He looks on his nightstand and shuts off
the alarm. He then looks at the picture of Caitlin and falls back down
on his pillow.
Cut to opening
music and title. SR-71 is playing in the background, which is quite
ironic for what is going on. Display opening credits for the players in
the movie. Looks at the pictures on the wall of various players. Some
with Bryan, and some with Jim instead. As the music dies down up pulls
a Jeep with Bryan in it. He parks his car and gets his bag and books
from the passenger seat. Just as he gets out of his car, up pulls his
best friend in his car-John-played by yours truly HAHA.
John: Gets out of
the car and says “whats upppp”?
Bryan: “Hey”
John: “whats up”
saying again like the Budweiser guys
Bryan: Looks at him
like he is retarded or something, “Don’t you ever get tired of saying
that?”
John: “Oh what is
up with you?”
Bryan: “I had
another dream about Caitlin and Jim”
John: “How many
times do I have to tell you? She will be back just have some patience my
man. She thinks that Jim is the best guy in everyway, but he is just
playing her like he does with all of the girls. She will find out soon
enough that he is an asshole, and then she will be with you again.”
Bryan: Thinking
about Caitlin and the good times-Quick flashback sequence. Walking
together at the mall being very affectionate towards one another.
John: “Hey!!!” Hits
him over the back of his head-“Do that on your own time slick.” A
slight pause. “Don’t sweat it.”
Bryan: “Yea maybe
your right”
John: “What can I
say-I am the shit”
Bryan: “You mean
you are shit” –laughing.
John: “Well now we
are getting somewhere.”
They enter the gym
where the camera stays right in front of them.
Bryan: To the
employee: “Hi, Chris, is Caitlin working?”
John: “Oh, here we
go.”
Bryan gives a
snotful look at John.
Trainer: “Hey the
single guy. No, she is working this afternoon.
Bryan: “Oh, ok
thanks.”
Trainer: “No
problem.”
The boys work out
for a bit, and then get ready to go.
Bryan: “Turns over
to John who is getting out his laptop.
Bryan: “Man, do you
always take that everywhere you go.”
John: “Its like my
American express card.”
Bryan: “Right.
Lets go dude.”
John: “I will be
out in a second, I want to check my mail.”
Bryan: “I will be
outside.”
Bryan goes outside
and pulls out his cell phone and calls Caitlin.
Bryan: “Hi Caitlin,
how are you today”
Caitlin: “Oh, hi
Bryan”
Bryan: “How is your
vacation going?”
Caitlin: “Great I
have been doing a lot of snowboarding lately because it has been just
great out there.”
Bryan: “Have you
seen Castaway yet, John and me saw it yesterday.”
Caitlin: “Oh that
looks like a good movie”
Bryan: “Oh it was.
In this one part-Tom Hanks took this tree and…………………..” He is
interrupted as the doorbell rings.
Caitlin: “Hold on a
sec, someone is at the door.”
Jim: “Good morning
Caitlin-my little sunflower.”
Caitlin: “Hi
Jim”-with enthusiasm
Jim comes and
kisses her even though she is a little hesitant.
Caitlin: “I have to
go Bryan, Jim is here.”
Bryan: “Caitlin
wait.”
Caitlin: “Bye.”
She hangs up the phone
Bryan: “Bye.”
John: “Caitlin and
Jim huh?”
Bryan: “Yea.”
John: “She just
doesn’t know,” as he shakes his head back and forth.
Bryan: “How long
have you been standing there.”
John: “Long
enough. Remember that time last year in home economics?”
Bryan: “How could I
forget” Flashback sequence to when Jim plays a joke on him. Basically
ends up with a pie in his face. He shrugs
John: “Come on,
let’s go. I will call you later, I have to go meet someone”
Bryan: “Cool.”
They drive off. We
next see Bryan sitting at his computer typing and reading a magazine.
He then looks out the window and starts to daydream. Bryan starts to
daydream about Caitlin. Flashback to when they break up. That takes
like three minutes. Caitlin comes over to John’s house and they start
watching the X-files. During the first commercial break is when the
talking starts.
Caitlin: “Bryan.”
Bryan: “What”
Caitlin: “I think
that we need some time apart.”
Bryan: “Why?”
Caitlin: “I have
been thinking. You are not giving me all I need right now in my life.
I want to do many other things. I want to see what else is out there.”
Bryan: “What the
hell, I thought that you loved me Caitlin?”
Caitlin: “I do I
just need some time away from you.”
Bryan: “But why?”
Caitlin: “Because
of stuff like this, you don’t listen to me when I need to tell you
things and it makes me very mad sometimes so I don’t even want to have
to deal with it anymore. I need time.”
Bryan: “How much
time?”
Caitlin: “Maybe
forever, I don’t know,” she starts to cry.
Bryan: “But I love
you.”
Caitlin: “I know
you do.” She gets up and starts to leave.
Bryan: “Cait.”
Caitlin: “I have to
go because it’s going to get weird.”
She hugs him and
kisses him on the cheek and leaves the house, as he stands there in
astonishment. As the camera comes back in Bryans room, he is staring at
his bed. He gets up and goes downstairs to his car.
He then drives over
to Gary Master’s wifes house and has a talk which I haven’t developed
yet.
Bryan then stops in
the gym to talk to Caitlin.
Bryan: “Hey
Caitlin.”
Caitlin: “Hi Bryan,
what’s up?”
Bryan: “I was
wondering if you would like to go out sometime this week.”
Caitlin: “Oh Bryan,
I don’t think that is such a good idea.”
Bryan: “Come on
Caitlin, its been like three months.”
Caitlin: “Can you
please stop bothering me with this, I told you that I need time. There
are other things that I want to do.”
Bryan: “Oh, I see,
and you can have more fun with Jim than with me?”
Caitlin: “I didn’t
say that. But he is giving me exactly what I need right now, which you
couldn’t give me in the past. You can’t make me change my mind. I am
with Jim now. I have to go to class. Bye Bryan.” She walks away as
Bryan stands sadly watching her go. Bryan walks out the front door as
tears fall down his face.
John: “Whats up my
man?”
Bryan: “Oh nothing
except for the fact that Jim is threatening me again.”
John: “Doesn’t he
ever get tired, you guys have been at each other for years.”
We flashback and
see Jim throwing Bryan into the lockers and his three friends slam into
him.
John: “Just ignore
that dick. Yo I will have to catch up with you later cause I have
detention with that drill sergeant wannabe.”
Bryan: “Well, you
brought that on yourself.”
John: “What can I
say?”
Bryan: “Oh by the
way, what did you have to do this morning when you ran off?”
John: “Yea well,
uh, I had to go see this girl named Melanie.”
Bryan: “Did you get
a date with her?”
John: “Negative. I
guess she didn’t like me as much as I thought. They all like me until I
actually ask them out, then they run away and fast too.”
Bryan: “And I am
taking advice from you, somehow this doesn’t add up.”
John: “Hey, I’m
working on it.”
Bryan: “Working on
which company to hack into next with your computer.”
John: “Don’t even
go there. They never proved that was me.”
They arrive at
Bryan’s locker, he puts his books away and takes some books out and
proceeds to put them in his bag. John looks away and sees Jim and
Caitlin walking out of the school together. He quickly distracts
Bryan.
John: Turning him
around so he won’t see this. “Allright man, I have to get to Lieutenant
Dana’s room to serve my time. We will have to do some boarding
tonight.” He looks down the hall to see if Jim and Caitlin are gone.
“Later dude.”
Bryan: “Cool, later
man.”
John walks away, as
Bryan closes his locker. He puts on his coat and walks to the entrance
of the school and out the front door. A loud car is heard in the
distance as Bryan is walking through the parking lot. He gets near the
school road and a car zooms past him. Its Jim and Caitlin. Bryan sees
her as she looks back to him, and they drive away.
Bryan: “I really
don’t like him.” Bryan gets in his car and drives off.
Mom: “So how was
school today?”
Bryan: “Fine.”
Depressed
Mom: “Why can’t you
just forget about her? You have been acting like this for weeks now.
Why don’t you go out with somebody else?”
Bryan: “Because I
only want her. She is perfect.”
Mom: “She is
confused she doesn’t know what she wants.”
Bryan: “Why can’t
she drop him, and come back to me.”
Mom: “Only she can
figure that out, in her own time.”
Bryan: “But I want
her back now.”
Mom: “I know you
do, but there isn’t much you or anybody can do about it.”
Nobody says
anything for a couple of seconds.
Mom: “Don’t worry,
someone good will come around for you.”
Bryan: “Not if I
want her.”
Mom: “Don’t get
caught up in this. You have other things to worry about.”
There is a knock at
the door. It is John.
Mom: “Speaking of
that.”
Bryan: “Its John.”
He goes and lets him in the house.
John: “Whats
happening. Hey Mrs. Hicks?”
Mom: “Hi John”
John: “You ready to
go pal?”
Bryan: “Yup lets
go.” He grabs his clothes and they leave.
Mom: “Have fun
guys.”
Bryan: “Bye mom.”
John: “Bye Mrs.
Hicks?”
Cut to them getting
on the chair lift as the music is playing in the background. The camera
gets to the top of the mountain as you see them get off the chairlift
and board over to the top of the mountain. They get boarded up and
prepare to go.”
Bryan: “Lets go”
John: “Right behind
you, just take it easy I’m not as good as you are.”
They kick off the
mountain and the camera follows them down the hill. Two takes for this
one, as one camera will be looking at John and the next time it will be
looking at Bryan or the other way around. You can tell that Bryan is
way better than John as he is carving all over the mountain. Next run
or so, the camera is at the bottom of the hill and you see John and
Bryan coming down the steepest hill at the resort. They are flying down
the hill carving back and forth even though Bryan is way out in front
catching air off of the bumps in the slope. They continue down the
slope to the end of the run. While this boarding is going on Korn’s
“Got the Life”, and White Zombie’s “More Human Than Human” is playing in
the background. They get to the bottom and the camera zooms in on
them. They hear laughing and look over to see Jim and Caitlin putting
on their boards and riding up the chairlift.
Bryan: “Come on
lets go, I don’t want to see this.”
John: “Allright I
understand, lets roll.” They take off their boards and go to their
cars.
The next scene
starts as Bryan is getting ready for bed and we see him praying. He is
silent for a while and the last thing he says is, “Please God, please
bring Caitlin back to me,” he looks at the picture on his nightstand and
then looks up at the ceiling. You can see the tears coming down his
face. He gets in bed and falls asleep. Another dream sequence is in
the works. Bryan closes the door from the bathroom and walks over to
his bedroom in the middle of the night. He comes over to the bed, and
pulls off the cover to the bedspread. To his amazement there lying in
his bed is Jim and Caitlin laughing at him. At this point he wakes up,
sighs, and falls back down to his bed. Now an extended montage starts
which will take place over several days. It will just showing Jim and
Caitlin together in school, going in the movies, snowboarding and some
others. All of this together should take place for a couple of minutes
with Gun’s N Roses “Don’t Cry” playing in the background. There are no
talking parts in the montage just clips and music.
1.
Scene in which we see Caitlin and Jim walking down together and
eventually walking into a movie theater
2.
We seem them snowboarding and Caitlin fall on top of Jim
3.
Jim coming over to Caitlin’s house
4.
Bryan is going to talk to Caitlin in school but Scott stops him
from doing that and Jim and Caitlin Walk away again.
5.
Eating Lunch together
6.
Jim and his friends throwing snowballs at Bryan
7.
Jim and Caitlin kissing
8.
Shopping together at the mall
The montage ends as
the camera comes in on Bryan sitting in the locker room at Tussey. He
is sitting there taking his boots off when he heres some arguing across
the way.
Girl: “John, for
the last time, I don’t want to go out.” She walks away.
John turns around
and sees Bryan standing there.
John: “Typical
response huh? Next.”
Bryan: “What
happened.”
John: “She doesn’t
want to go out this week for some dumb reason, like having a class or
some crazy shit. They like me until I ask them out Owell.”
Bryan: “Sorry man.”
John: “Its alright,
I get my kicks out of helping you and Caitlin. I tell ya, I am getting
so much information on girls and shit just from your situation.”
Bryan: “Well I
appreciate the help and I am overjoyed that you are enjoying it cause I
am not.”
John: “Well this
stuff might come in handy to me someday.”
They both look at
each other, and they both say “Not likely” and they laugh.
They get their
stuff and walk back to the locker room and the scene ends like that.
Cut to
the gym where we see Caitlin quietly studying something by herself at
the desk. Then the camera pans to the other side of the room and it
zooms in on John using his laptop. He looks pretty distracted by
whatever he is doing. He slams his hand down and makes an obscene
comment and several people around him look over. He then proceeds to
close the lid of his laptop. He looks around the room and his eyes stop
where he sees Caitlin sitting. He gets up, and walks over to her.
John:
“Waz up?”
Caitlin: “Hey John”, preoccupied response.
John:
“Watcha doing.”
Caitlin: “Just reading this new magazine I got.”
John:
“Ha, so how is your stud Jim.”
Caitlin: “He’s great.”
John:
“Sure he is.”
Caitlin: “He is so sweet and nice, He’ll do anything to make me happy.”
John:
“Ha ha, he has you so fooled. Why can’t you see though his charades?
It’s all an act. He’s telling you exactly what you want to hear.”
Caitlin: “Its not an act.”
John:
“You can think that, but you should really be with my man Bryan.”
Caitlin: “Your just like everybody else. Why can’t everyone respect my
decision?”
John:
“Because your decision is the wrong choice.”
Caitlin: Gets up, “my decision is my business and my business only, now
if you can excuse me, I have some work to do.” She leaves and walks away
from John and walks out the door to the room.
John:
“Ahhhh, women.” He walks away and goes back to his laptop, sits down
opens it up and there is an error on the screen. “Typical.”
Cut to Bryan’s
room. We see Bryan reading a magazine while he is laying on his bed.
Angela walks up to
him.
Angela: “What are
you doing?”
Bryan jumps as he
is scared by his sister’s presence.
Bryan: “Nothing
just reading E Weekly.”
Angela: “Can you
take me to Tussey?”
Bryan: “Why?”
Angela: “Because
everyone else is busy.”
Bryan: “Alright
lets go.”
They get in the car
and drive off down the lane. You next see them arriving at Tussey
Mountain. The car pulls up and Angela gets out.
Angela: “Thanks:”
Bryan: “Yea.”
Bryan drives off
down the road but then he slows down because he sees Jim going snowboard
with some girl who looks like Caitlin, but its not. He looks closer and
sees that its Heather the lead cheerleader for the school, pretty much
the most popular girl in the school. She is all over him as they are
walking up to the lift area. He stops his car and watches because this
is interesting. She leans over and kisses Jim and then he kisses her
back. Bryan’s eyes widen.
Bryan: “Well, I’ll
be damn. If only Caitlin was here she could see this. I will have to
tell her about this.”
The scene ends as
Bryan turns around and continues down the road. But first Knight Rider
music comes on, and then Bryan stalls the car and the music stops.
“Shit.” He starts up the car and the music starts again. The camera
will follow in in front of his vehicle and the behind it for a while.
Next we see Bryan
arriving at Caitlin’s house. He gets out of the car and walks up to the
door and rings the doorbell. Down comes Caitlin to answer the door.
Caitlin: “Bryan,
what are you doing here?”
Bryan: “Hi Caitlin,
I came to tell you something very important.”
Caitlin: “I told
you I am not ready.
Bryan: “That is not
why I came over here Caitlin.”
Caitlin: “Why did
you come here then?”
Bryan: “I saw Jim
with Heather the cheerleader at Tussey Mountain.”
Caitlin: “What are
you talking about?”
Bryan: “Yea, they
were all over each other.”
Caitlin: “Why are
you lying to me so I break up with Jim so I can be with you again? Well
its not going to work.”
Bryan: “Listen, I
didn’t want to have to tell you this but I had too because I love you.”
Caitlin: “I don’t
like what you are trying to do so you just leave. Now.”
Bryan: “Caitlin
wait.”
Caitlin: “No Bryan,
this time you have gone to far. Why can’t you just let me be? I want
to do what I want to do.” Angry now. “No one can change that.”
Bryan: “But its…”
Caitlin: “Jim and I
are happy together, and we don’t need people like you trying to take us
apart. Bye Bryan.” She slams the door in his face.
Bryan stands there
for a few seconds trying to contemplate what just happened. He then
turns around walks back and gets into his car. His head is down the
whole time and when he gets back to the car he looks up at the house
before he drives off.
We next see Bryan
coming to John’s house to pick him up for the movie. John is already
outside messing around in the garage. He sees Bryan coming so he closes
the garage door and comes down to meet Bryan and gets in the car.
John: “Whats up
Slim.”
Bryan: “Not
Caitlin, but Jim is.”
The conversation
continues as they drive down the road to the movie theater.
John: “You alright,
you look a bit pale?”
Bryan: “I saw Jim
at Tussey tonight with Heather.”
John: “Woah, that’s
major news,” a slight pause, “why is he with that stupid bitch when he
has Caitlin, oops sorry man.”
Bryan: “Its cool,
but they were kissing each other and shit, and when I told Caitlin about
it she didn’t believe me and basically threw it back in my face.”
John: Laughing “Of
course she wouldn’t believe you, he did it once he will do it again and
he will have to get caught be Caitlin, and her only.”
Bryan: “I could
have used your help about an hour ago then slick.”
John: “Ahh, I like
being in demand, it makes me feel all wanted and stuff.”
Bryan: “Don’t get
too cocky, you can’t even get a date.”
John: “I’m working
on it.”
Bryan: “I bet you
couldn’t even get a date with a personal ad. HAHA, not even with your
trusty computer.”
Bryan is still
laughing.
John starts
laughing and then he stops and makes a straight face and then gives
Bryan a Charlie horse when he is driving as they soon swerve afterwards.
Bryan: “Hey watch
it man.”
John: “I guess you
shouldn’t rip on me then pal haha.”
Bryan: “Well at
least you take my mind off of Caitlin.”
John: “Glad to help
man. Just remember time will roll on with or without Caitlin. You make
it seem like the world is over. Time my friend, time.”
The scene dissolves
and we then see them walking towards the movie theater downtown and into
the movie theater. The camera does not enter the movie theater because
I don’t think they would let me do it, so the camera just looks outside
in and then turns around because Caitlin is walking downtown with her
best friend Erin. They are laughing and giggling as they walk down the
street. We see both of them at the same time since the camera is
walking in front of them looking back.
Erin: “I can’t
believe that he did that.”
Caitlin: “It was so
funny, he was going really fast when he was skiing towards the jump that
he got so high he fell face down when he landed.”
Erin: “Your brother
is not to smart at times is.”
Caitlin: “He just
tries to show off to much sometimes, but skiing definitely isn’t his
sport.”
Erin: “Oh, I know
that he likes to show off, especially when Bryan is around. Those two
are so bad together.”
Caitlin: “I know.”
Erin: “It’s too bad
that you guys broke up, I really liked him.”
Caitlin: “Can we
not talk about this right now, like I said it’s my decision.”
Erin: “Ok, sorry.”
There is silence
for about ten seconds as they walk down the street and they are not
looking at each other also. Finally Caitlin speaks up.
Caitlin: “Hey,
let’s go in American Outfitters, I want to look at the new clothes.”
Erin: “Ok.”
They go in the
store but the camera does not follow them. The scene dissolves and we
next see them coming out of the store.
Erin: “These
clothes I bought are great.”
Caitlin: “I know I
can’t wait to wear them.”
Some guy: “Hey
girls, what are you doing.” Obviously drunk.
Girls: “Shopping.”
They start to walk away.
Guy: “Hey wait up,
I want to talk to you.” He runs up to them. “What are you guys going to
do now?”
Caitlin: “Does it
matter, go away.”
Erin: “Come on Cait,
let’s go.”
Guy: “Why don’t you
girls come back to my place and you can try those clothes on? I will
tell you if I like them or not.” He puts his hand on Caitlin’s
shoulder.
Caitlin: “No, get
off.” She throws his hand off of her.
Both of the girls
walk away in the other direction, as the guy just stands there.
Erin: “I can’t
believe that guy, college guys suck. If Bryan were here, this wouldn’t
have happened. Remember that time about a year ago?”
We see a flashback
to when all three including Bryan are downtown. The two girls are
outside while we see Bryan inside the store buying some merchandise.
While the two girls are outside waiting we see a strange young guy come
up to them and talking to them.
Guy: “Hey girls
want to come back to my place”?
Girls: “Ahhh let us
think – no!!!!”
Guy: “Why not?” He
goes over to them and puts his arm around them and they push him away
Bryan is coming out
of the store now.
Bryan: “Hey, man
what are you doing?”
Guy: “This ain’t
your beef preppie.”
Bryan: “I think it
is man, that is my girlfriend you are messing with.”
Guy: “Oh yea, what
are you going to do about it then.”
Bryan: “I am taking
them with me and we are leaving.”
Guy: “I don’t think
so.”
He comes over and
shoves Bryan into the wall. The girls are terrified. Bryan gets up and
walks over to the guy. The guy is looking at the girls but then he
looks back and sees Bryan standing right behind him. The guy swings a
punch at Bryan even though Bryan ducks and misses him by a mile. Bryan
comes back and gives him two jabs to the face followed by an uppercut.
The guy goes down and does not get up. Bryan is shaking his hand
because it hurts very much. Caitlin comes over and throws a kiss on his
lips and hugs him.
Caitlin: “I love
you.”
Bryan: “I love you
too.”
Erin: “I don’t love
you but thanks for kicking his ass.”
She comes over and
jumps on them and they all fall down and all three start to laugh. The
scene is over and we come back to present day.
Caitlin: “That was
the first time I told Bryan that I love him.”
Erin: “Yea well, he
saved our butts.”
Caitlin: “Anyway,
can we leave and go back to your house or something.” Talking as if she
all shaken up.”
They walk on down
the block where we see them in the beginning. When they get to the
Allen Street block the camera turns and we see Bryan and John coming out
of the Movie Theater.
Bryan: “That was
awesome.”
John: “Hell yes.”
John: “We will have
to see it again when you get it on DVD.”
Bryan: “Your right
sister.”
They walk down the
street and Bryan sees the guy that was after the two girls. For some
reason they look at each other like they know each other even though
they really don’t. The boys turn at the corner and walk down the side
street to get to Bryan’s car.
John: “What are you
doing tomorrow?
Bryan: “I have to
work at the port till 2:00.”
John: “Give me a
call when you get home.”
Bryan: “Alright
dude.”
You see the boys
get in the car and the scene ends.
The next scene we
see the outside of the Autoport Restaurant. There is a close up of the
sign before we see anybody inside.
We see Bryan
delivering food to one of his tables.
Bryan: “Enjoy your
breakfast.”
He goes back and
starts working on the POS system where all the orders are kept. He goes
over to one of his tables and starts talking to them
Bryan: “I am so
glad that we are on vacation from school, I need a break.”
The customers: “You
sure do, you work really hard, you deserve it.”
Bryan: “I have some
things to get caught up on, watch some DVD’s play some games and do some
serious snowboarding.”
The camera leaves
the table and comes over to the other side of the room where we see the
owner talking to the waitresses.
Don Meyer: “What
are you doing Meyers.”
Nancy: “Just
getting caught up on some sidework.”
Char comes out with
an order of food in her hands and delivers it to the table.
Don: “Is the bitch
helping you?”
Nancy starts
laughing and Char comes back and says something smart to Meyer.
Nancy: “How long do
you think he is going to talk over there?”
Char: “Better not
be long or I am going to drill him.”
They look over at
Bryan as he is looking back.”
Bryan: “What.”
Nancy: “You do more
talking then anybody I know.”
Bryan comes over to
where the three of them are standing.
Don: “Hey horses
ass.”
Bryan: “Yes Mr.
Meyer.”
Don: “Outside in my
car. 2 boxes on the passenger seat. My office immediately.”
Bryan: “It’ll get
done in a few minutes.”
Don looks at the
two ladies.
Don: “Ignorant son
of a bitch.”
Char and Nancy
start laughing. Mr. Meyer walks away and Bryan stays there with the two
ladies.
Char: “So how are
things with your girl?”
Nancy: “Did you get
back together yet.”
Bryan: “No, and now
she is with this jock from school even though I saw him with another
girl yesterday.”
Char: “Just give
her some more time.”
Nancy: “Have a
little faith, and some patience. Your worse then my 4 year old
grandson.”
Bryan: “What can I
say, I’m top choice.”
Char: “Top
choice.” Laughing
Nancy: “You are a
piece of work.”
The scene ends as
they are all laughing. The next scene we see Bryan entering a phone
number on his cordless. The phone rings several times and then we here
a hello.
Bryan: “Whats up
man.”
John: “Hey dude,
whats up?”
Bryan: “I just got
home. What are you doing today?”
John: “I have a
date with Beth from gym class. I called her today.”
Bryan: “Oh yea, how
did you manage that.”
John: “My wonderful
charm.”
Bryan: “Yea right.
So what time are you guys going out.”
John: “Four
o’clock, I am meeting her downtown. We are going to dinner at the Corner
Room and then we are going to see a movie.”
Bryan: “Cool, have
fun man.”
John: “What are you
going to do?”
Bryan: “I will
probably go snowboarding.”
John: “Cool, yo, I
will talk to you tomorrow or something, we will go up to Tussey or
something. I will call you.”
Bryan: “Alright
man, see-ya later.”
John: “Later dog.”
Bryan hangs up the
phone and walks out to the living room where he opens the closet and
pulls out a DVD. He then puts in the DVD player and watches the movie.
The next scene we see John waiting downtown for Beth to show up for
their date. He looks obviously disgusted. It is still daytime. We
next see Bryan walking in from boarding at the mountain. He walks back
to his locker and starts taking his boots and jacket off. As he is
sitting there we see John walking in with a pissed off look on his face.
Bryan: “Whats up, I
thought you had a date with Beth?”
John: “So did I,
she never showed up. I should have expected that.”
Bryan: “Sorry man,
some day.”
John: “As I always
say, NEXT!!!”
Bryan starts
laughing.
Bryan: “Want to go
do some boarding?’
John: “Damn right,
I am going to kick the shit out of the hill?”
Bryan: “Haha, don’t
let me get in the way.”
John: “Don’t
worry.”
The two boys grab
their boards and walk away as the scene ends.
We next see Jim
dropping Caitlin off at her house while it is still daylight out. He
drives up her driveway and stops the vehicle. The camera is behind them
looking through the rear window. They are kissing each other goodbye
and finally Caitlin gets out of the car.
Caitlin: “What were
you doing last nite.”
Jim: “I was with
Chris snowboarding.”
Caitlin: “You
weren’t with another girl?”
Jim: “Why, I have
you.”
Caitlin: “Anyway, I
don’t want you racing those kids from Penn State.”
Jim: “Why.”
Caitlin: “Because I
don’t want you to get hurt. Especially since it’s more than just
snowboarding down the hill at high speeds.”
Jim: “Stop it, I
will be fine. Its like 2 minutes of my life. I got my buddy to rough
them up HAHA. Plus one of them is a girl.”
Caitlin: “But I
don’t want you to.”
Jim: “Well I will.
I have to go.”
Caitlin: “Well, I
wish you would reconsider, I will call you later. Bye.”
Jim: “Bye.”
Jim pulls out of
the driveway and drives down the street. We see him then pull up at
another house. He gets out of the car and goes to the front door. He
rings the doorbell and down comes Heather, the girl we saw him with
earlier. She gives him a hug and they exchange their hello’s. They get
in the car and drive off. That scene ends.
In the next scene
the camera is looking outside into the night sky, and then the camera
pans around and comes into Caitlin’s house into her bedroom. She is
already for bed, she gets in her bed underneath her covers. Caitlin
then picks up the phone and dials a phone number and all we hear are the
rings coming from the handset. She then leaves a message.
Caitlin: “Hi Jim,
its me. I just wanted to talk to you before I went to bed. Where are
you, anyway, give me a call when you get in. Ok. Bye.”
She hangs up the
phone and falls asleep.
It’s about 7:00 the
next day when we see Erin and Caitlin walking down the street downtown.
They are busy laughing and getting carried away about something. As
they get closer they see Jim kissing Heather in a parking lot.
Erin: “Isn’t that
Jim?”
Caitlin: “No, it
can’t be, he wouldn’t kiss another girl.”
Erin: “Well, it is
him.”
Caitlin: “Jim?”
Jim and Heather
lookup at the two girls walking towards them.
Jim: “Caitlin, look
I can explain.”
“What the fuck?” A
voice is heard coming in the opposite direction.
Everybody looks at
the newcomer Jason.
Jim as a very
embarrassed look on his face.
Jason: “Your dead
Jimbo. You screwed with the wrong guys girl.” He punches him hard in
the stomach. Jim falls down clenching his stomach. “That is just a
prelude to how bad we are going to kick you and your pathetic friends
asses tomorrow.”
Jason walks away
and tries to catch up to Heather who is now halfway across the parking
lot. Jim looks back at the two girls standing there in awe. Caitlin
has an angry look on her face but not one touch of sadness.
Jim: “Caitlin, I
can….”
Caitlin: “Save it
Jim, or should I say jerk. Everybody was right you are just a player,
and now I know. I am sorry I ever went out with you.”
The girls turn and
walk away and don’t say a word.
Jim: “Wait, we need
to talk.”
The girls don’t
stop they keep walking away and never look back. Jim sits back down and
leans up against the wall and puts his head down.
Erin: “Are you okay
Caitlin?”
Caitlin: “I am
fine, it’s funny, Bryan told me he saw Jim with her and I just shoved
him away.”
Erin: “What does
that tell you? You should be with Bryan.”
Caitlin starts to
walk away.
Erin: “Where are
you going?”
Caitlin: “To find
Bryan.”
Erin: “Well wait
for me girl, you’re my ride.”
The two girls run
off down the street, and the scene ends just like that.
We see Bryan and
John hanging out up at Tussey Mountain that same night. They are
talking amongst themselves when they look over and see Jim’s friends
Scott and Chris yelling about something.
Scott: “How the
hell are we going to race tomorrow?”
Just then we see
Jim comes in the door. He walks over to the 2 kids arguing.
Jim: “What the hell
is this?”
Scott: “It’s his
wrist, he fell, it’s broken.”
Jim: “Shit, dammit.”
Chris: “Sorry man,
I can’t race tomorrow.”
Jim: “Yea we can
see that dork.”
Bryan and John walk
over to the door to leave the building.
Jim: “Great, and
Jason is pissed now since he caught me with his bitch.”
Bryan stops midway
through his exit from the locker room.
Bryan: “What, you
were with another girl? You son of a bitch.”
He goes after Jim
but Scott stops him and throws him to the ground, and keeps his foot on
his chest.
Jim: “What can I
say, I can’t have just one.”
Scott: “Yea bitch.”
Jim: “Wait, I got
an idea.”
Scott: “What dude?”
Jim: “He can take
Chris’s place on the team and board tomorrow.”
Scott: “Are you
crazy? We don’t even like this piece of shit.”
Chris: “I may be
stupid but this is not a good idea man.”
Jim: “Let him up.”
Bryan gets up and
the hate in his eyes is enough to fill a room. They look at each other
in the eyes.
Jim: “You up to the
task Bryan?”
Bryan: “Yea, I’ll
do it, only to save your ass.”
Jim: “Don’t mess up
Hicks.”
The three guys walk
away and get into their respective cars.
John: “What are you
doing man, teaming up with the enemy?”
Bryan: “I didn’t
see much of a choice.”
John: “Shit man,
this is a death trap, especially since now you are going up with those
PSU punks let alone Jim.”
Bryan: “Yup.”
John: “We better go
so you can get some rest, you can stay at my place if you want.”
Bryan: “Cool, lets
roll.”
The two walk back
to the car and get in, and drive away. This is when the Phil Collin’s
song, In the Air Tonight will kick in. We see Caitlin calling up
Bryan’s house but no one answers. You can see the frustration of making
the wrong decision in her eyes. She then drives up to Tussey Mountain,
looks in the locker room, and outside but she cannot find him. Now she
flashes back to the good times that she had with him and she regrets
ever breaking up with him. She knows now it is a mistake. At the end
of the flashback scene she drives off and we see her call again, and
then fall asleep with the phone in her hand. During this whole time the
music is playing in the background. Next, we can see Bryan getting
dressed for the race. Putting on his wigwam socks, pants, jacket, hat,
tying the boots and putting on his hat and gloves. He stands up and
walks outside and we see Jim walking over from his car.
Jim: “Don’t screw
around up there pretty boy or it’s your ass.”
Around the bend
comes a vehicle flying as it parks in the first available space. The
music coming from the car is loud as hell. It’s Jason and two of his
henchman. They get out of their car look over at the Bryan and Jim and
look away. They get their stuff out of the trunk and start to put it
on, while the third person, Scott comes over to meet Jim and Bryan.
Scott: “Hey Jim.”
Jim: “Yo.”
Scott: “Lets get it
done, well have to pick up the slack for this grab ass.” He points
toward Bryan.
Bryan: “Come on
let’s get to the top.”
The three of them
start walking toward the chairlift while the other three boys continue
to get ready.
Cut to Caitlin
getting out of bed after her dream of Bryan getting thrown off the
mountain by Jason. She quickly gets the phone and calls Bryan’s house.
Josh: “Hello.”
Caitlin: “Hi Josh,
is your brother home?”
Josh: “No.”
Caitlin: “Do you
know where he is?”
Josh: “He said
something about some race a Tussey.”
Caitlin: She is
getting worried “The race with the college kids?”
Josh: “Yea, that’s
it.”
Caitlin: “Thanks
Josh, bye,” she quickly hangs up the phone, gets dressed and quickly
runs downstairs to her car.
She flies up to the
mountain to try and stop the race from taking place. She parks and runs
over to Erin who is at the bottom of the hill looking up.
Caitlin: “Erin,
where is Bryan?”
Erin: “Hey Caitlin,
they just went up like 5 minutes ago.”
You can see the
worried expression on Caitlin’s face now. She looks up the mountain and
prays to herself to not let anything happen to Bryan.
We get to the top
of the hill and there is John waiting up there with a flag. He quickly
comes over and greets Bryan.
John: “Good luck,
man.”
Bryan: “Thanks I am
going to need it.”
John: “Watch out
for Jason, I heard he races dirty.”
Bryan: “Ok.”
Jim: “Come on guys
lets go.”
We turn back to the
chairlift and we see the other three guys get off and board over to the
other three.
They all shake
hands accept for Jim and Jason who just ignore one another.
They suit up their
boards and prepare to start the race.
John: “Alright
guys. First team with all three members down wins. Get ready.” He
raises up the flag. After a second we slow mo back to the six guys for
one or 2 seconds until the flag drops. “GO.” He drops the flag
All six guys start
off down the hill. I don’t know what the course of the race will lead
to, I will just film several races and cut the scenes that I want and
paste them in. The outcome will be as follows.
1.
Everybody will be very rough during the entire race.
2.
By the time the race is over, Jason’s two friends as well as
Scott are at the bottom of the hill waiting for the remaining members to
arrive.
3.
Up the hill Bryan is behind Jason and Jim, who have been fighting
with each other the whole race.
4.
Bryan takes a shortcut and gets ahead of the two by a couple
boards length by taking a huge jump.
5.
In a split second Jason takes out Jim who flies into the side of
the hill.
6.
Then Jason goes after Bryan.
7.
He lunges at him but flies off the cliff as Bryan does a quick
turn move. He goes over to the cliff and looks down at Jason who is
barely moving. He then looks up and sees Jim lying on the side of the
hill.
8.
Bryan unstraps one boot and skates up to him.
9.
Bryan: “Come on Jim, we have a race to win.”
10.
Bryan grabs his arm and pulls him up.
11.
The two board down and win the race for the team.
12.
It will be similar to that when all is said and done.
They get to the
bottom of the hill into the crowd of people. Through the crowd comes
Caitlin. She comes right in front of Bryan. They just stand there for a
minute, and then she throws him a big kiss and an I love you.
Caitlin: “I am
sorry for what I did to you. I made a mistake, and I should have
listened to you when you told me about Heather and Jim. I hope you can
forgive me.”
Bryan doesn’t have
to say anything since he is so overjoyed. He just looks at her smiles
and gives her a big kiss and a hug.
Jim comes over and
stands in front of Bryan and Caitlin, Scott was right behind him. He
looks at the two of them together. He looks pissed but then he smiles.
Jim: “Good boarding
dude.” He pats Bryan on the back. “Come on Scott, let’s go see those
losers.”
Scott gives a nod
towards Bryan.
John comes over and
they give each other high five. He then notices the closeness of Bryan
and Caitlin.
John: “Oh,
finally. I don’t think I could take any more days without you guys
being together.”
They all start
laughing.
A cute girl comes
walking over to the three of them and approaches John.
Jessica: “What is
all the celebration for.”
John: “Because my
friend Bryan just won the race for the team.”
Jessica: “Cool. My
name is Jessica and I am new in town.”
John: “Hi, I am
John.”
He looks over at
the camera and gives a devilish grin. He and Jessica walk off to the
side.
The movie ends with
the camera watching Caitlin and Bryan walk off together in the
distance. The camera then cuts back to Jim and Scott watching them.
Jim: “Ahhh, I did
have her, but owell.”
Scott: “Yea, owell,
at least we one the race.”
Jim: “Yup.”
Jason comes over to
them but then Jim throws a snowball at him and he falls down cause it
hits him in the face.
Jim: Laughing. “Sit
down.”
The camera then
pans back to Caitlin and Bryan as he opens the door for her and he gets
in the other side and they drive off.
